How to Install NutriScore Extension
Get NutriScore running in under two minutes.
- Install the Extension — Click on the Extensions icon (the puzzle piece) in your browser's toolbar, then select Manage Extensions. — Use the search bar to look up
NutriScore Checkout Tooland click Install. - Confirm Installation — Once installed, the NutriScore icon should appear in your browser's toolbar. If it's hidden, click the puzzle piece icon and pin NutriScore for easy access.
- Activate on a Shopping Page — Navigate to any supported shopping or checkout page. Click the NutriScore icon in your toolbar to open the popup, then click Activate.
- Start Using NutriScore — Once activated, NutriScore will have and icon pop-up, that will be hovering over the product. that is interactable by a mouse hover.

NutriScore currently supports Naivas online stores in Kenya. More Kenyan retailers may be added as the scraper improves.

Which stores and pages are supported?
The current adapters support Naivas and Carrefour shopping pages, including product listings and checkout or cart views. The extension watches for products added or removed from a cart so its grades and shopping history stay current.
Do I need to sign in to use it?
No. Product grading and nutrition details work without an account. Sign in only when you want to save a health profile, sync it across the website and extension, or use personalized health guidance.
What does my health profile do?
You can save conditions, allergies, and dietary preferences. The extension uses those details to add relevant product warnings alongside the nutrition breakdown, with a reminder that the guidance is not medical advice.
What appears in the shopping dashboard?
Confirmed cart items are recorded in a local shopping ledger. The dashboard can use that history to show grade distribution and nutrient trends, helping you understand the quality of your basket over time.
Is my data shared?
Product results, cached nutrition data, and shopping history stay on your device. If you sign in and save a health profile, those profile details are securely stored so the website and extension can sync them across your devices.
